Team Wandahsega starts the season with 2 wins!!!

3 Fires Off Road Park had its season opener event Memorial Day Weekend, the first annual Triple Truck Challenge. 22 trucks signed up to compete in a double elimination mud drag, tire pull, and the hill’n hole mud bog. The winner would be the one who scored the most points in all 3 events.

We made the scoring easy, taking 1st in all 3 events to claim the 1st Annual Champion Title. Ran 5 rounds in the mud drags, then the tire pull we were 2 seconds faster than 2nd place, our time in the hill’n hole was 8 seconds, the next closest was 13. Great weekend, dominated the entire 22-truck field!!!

June 1st our team headed to Cheboygan Michigan, the County Fairgrounds, just below the Mackinaw Bridge. The classes were a little different than we are used to, went by tires sizes, and not so much motors. We ran class 7 and 8, which is modified and 37” to 44” D.O.T. tires. In modified the truck didn’t run so great, not sure why yet, out of 9 trucks we finished 4th. Right after that, we had to get back in line for class 8, the truck was still really warm from running the previous class, but ran perfect this time. Had 2 really good passes, and ended up taking 1st place again out of 10 trucks.

Our next race will be in Bessemer, MI on June 29th.
